Janio’s Regional Business Development Manager, Sharulnizam Zabor, shares insights at Karnival Inovasi ICT Terengganu
Janio’s event-packed October continues in Malaysia! This time, we’re really thankful to be invited by the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDeC) to connect with eCommerce enthusiasts across Malaysia and have the chance to share our expertise at two different events.
These events are Karnival Inovasi ICT Terengganu (KIIT) at TD1303 Building in Terengganu from 6th to 9th October 2019 and the Sarawak eCommerce Forum (SEF) at The Waterfront Hotel in Sarawak held on the 15th and 16th of October.
KIIT is an annual event to promote innovation in the use of ICT in Malaysia, organised by Terengganu State Information Technology Management Division in collaboration with TD1303 and the Terengganu Science and Creativity Center. At KIIT, Janio was invited to be part of the Digital Free Trade Zone recruiting team, to bring more eCommerce merchants onboard Malaysia’s latest initiative to grow the nation’s eCommerce industry.
The Sarawak eCommerce Forum is spearheaded by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry, Industrial Terminal & Entrepreneur Development Sarawak (MINTRED), aiming to engage leading brands and players in digital commerce in collaborative efforts to connect Sarawak’s digital entrepreneurs with regional and global markets.
Janio was invited to speak at the SEF by MDeC and also to showcase our business through a booth to around 600+ eCommerce enthusiasts. The SEF saw big names in eCommerce come down to participate such as Shopee, PWC, Shopback, Axis, Jocom and more.
At both events, our Regional Business Development Manager Sharulnizam Zabor, shared insights on the advantages of selling into Indonesia and tackling international shipping from Malaysia to Indonesia. Sarawak, in particular, has great export potential with its unique products supported by their government’s initiative and infrastructure1.
With these initiatives to bring more merchants onto eCommerce, Janio and MDeC can continue supporting each other to nurture Malaysia’s eCommerce industry.
