COVID-19 Response: Janio’s Business Continuity Plan for Our Operations Employees in Singapore

Junkai Ng

In light of the global spread of COVID-19, Janio is doing our part to ensure that our employees are healthy and safe while working to keep your deliveries on track despite the market disruptions.

We value transparency and safety in these challenging times. Thus, we would like to announce that we have kicked off our business continuity plan with precautionary measures in place to minimise the risk of infection in our company. These steps apply to our ground operations staff working at our warehouses in Singapore and the delivery staff picking up and dropping off shipments.

Janio’s Precautionary Measures for our Warehouse Employees

COVID-19: Janio's precautionary measures for our Warehouse staff in Singapore

  1. We will be implementing morning and evening shifts at our warehouses to minimise the risk of infection. Employees will enter and exit from different designated points to minimise contact with each other.
  2. Buffer time between shifts and closing will be implemented so that employees can disinfect workstations and shelves.
  3. If anyone in a shift is confirmed with COVID-19, the entire team in the shift will be placed under quarantine.
  4. Temperature taking will be done at the start and end of their shifts, and during lunch break. All employees’ temperatures will be logged in a logbook. Anyone who has a temperature above 38℃ will be turned away from work and advised to see the doctor.
  5. Workstations in the warehouse are arranged to be at least 2 meters apart.
  6. Face-to-face meetings with clients and vendors will be minimised as much as possible and replaced with video conferences.

  5. At the end of their shifts, delivery staff will disinfect their vehicle by cleaning the interior of the van.

Janio will continuously monitor the situation on the ground and adjust our business continuity plan as necessary. We’ll work to ensure that our measures in place are compliant with the regulations in the countries where we operate to contain the spread of COVID-19.
