The role

Janio Asia is looking for a VP of Finance to join our rapidly expanding Finance team. The role will be responsible for all aspects of finance and accounting, including financial strategy, accounting, financial planning, and budgeting, financial infrastructure, investor management and board communications. You must be a hands-on, roll up your sleeves type of leader and should enjoy a fast-paced, high impact, entrepreneurial environment.   • Oversee accurate accounting, reporting, taxes and compliance: manage accounting processes to complete monthly close and reporting; manage all tax reporting
  • Develop strategy and build system specifically with revenue recognition and expenses
  • Work with HR to support headcount and planning
  • Support financial planning and budgeting: develop and support internal planning and budgeting process, working across all functional areas
  • Develop tools, processes and communication touch-points to support transparency and empower smart and quick decisions across and within the team
  • Drive the development of budgeting, financial forecasting, operating plan and modelling tools
  • Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost and expenses and drive data-driven strategy
  • Shape company strategy: work closely with the executive team to evolve overall strategy and evaluate risks and strategic scenarios
  • Scale financial infrastructure, including systems, tools, and processes
  • Investor relations and corporate governance: support investor and stakeholder communications, including investor reporting, board communications and cap table management
  • Developing key metrics and insight reports that provide senior leadership with insights regarding financial issues that might affect operations and growth
  • Preparing monthly commentaries and analyses for senior leadership to explain key revenue and expense variances and quantify risks and opportunities versus the annual budget and forecast
  • Establishing processes to ensure accurate and timely completion of financial planning activities and proactively seek opportunities to improve planning and reporting processes
  • Support Senior Management Team and Departments heads with in-depth analysis Collaborating with cross-functional partners to initiate and provide ad hoc business-related analysis

The requirements

  • BS/BA (Accounting or Finance major preferred) with 8+ years of financial management experience, with a track record of success in finance positions of increasingly progressive responsibility in a high-growth environment; pre-IPO SAAS experience a plus
  • Background that’s ideally a mix of – management consulting or investment banking and startup or operating company experience
  • Ability to quickly turn data analysis into a strong narrative that leads to recommendations and enhances our understanding of the business
  • Deep understanding of GAAP and overall accounting principles, FP&A, budgeting, financial modelling, financial reporting
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple projects in a time-sensitive, deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail under tight deadlines Superior problem solving, data analysis and information presentation skills
  • Genuine interest in understanding the company’s business and markets and a track record of adding valuable insights and support to the senior leadership team Strong communication and interpersonal skills
