Prior to Janio, Jun Kai worked in the venture capital and private equity industry where he held investment roles in Partners Group, Gobi Partners (Shanghai) and Venturecraft covering the TMT, Consumer and Healthcare sectors in the US, UK and Asia market. He now leads the company as CEO, driving Janio's strategy development and growth.
Ali has over a decade of management experience in areas of business development, corporate strategy, global supply chain and operations management. He has held senior management roles in Expeditors International, SATS, Reebonz and Zalora. Currently, he serves as the Head of Growth, developing Janio's networks and capabilities.
With a background in information systems, Afiq is a seasoned full-stack developer, co-founding several companies since his university days in the Singapore Management University where he was the Ng Kai Wa Scholarship recipient. He spearheads Janio's tech development efforts, leading the tech team in building the company's software platforms.
Before starting Janio, Nathaniel worked in brand consulting, developing branding strategies for local blue chip clients. He has also held regional account management roles in corporate banking at Citibank. He graduated from NUS with a business degree and is now in charge of developing Janio's marketing strategies and capabilities.
Piyush leads the Product Management function at Janio. He is responsible for defining and leading the roadmap for Janio’s technology platform. Prior to Janio, Piyush founded an Education Technology startup which became a leading online platform for professional education in India. Piyush is a graduate from Stanford University and IIT Kanpur where he studied Computer Science. He has published multiple research papers and patents in the areas of machine learning, computer vision and video streaming technologies and has been recognised as one of the Top 8 Innovators Under 35 by MIT Review
Syed Faisal has over a decade of logistics and warehousing experience over multiple industries like automotive, oil & gas and eCommerce. Recent roles he held were in Zalora and Pos Aviation, a subsidiary of Pos Malaysia. In Pos Aviation, he pioneered the setup of the first Digital Free Trade Zone (DFTZ) Fulfilment Center in Malaysia and was able to work with the Cargo Terminal and the Malaysian Digital Economic Corporation to reduce customs clearance and terminal handling to achieve the service level required by customers. Other roles include Quality Management Systems, Lean Manufacturing Implementation, and management of the Engineering Bill of Materials.
Esther has over a decade of experience in express logistics. She started with a sales management role in DHL Express and moved onto SF Express as the Head of Network Development in the South Asia Region. She was also the Country Manager of InXpress to manage the franchising business in HK, before she became Janio’s General Manager in Greater China.
Cliff is currently the Head of Operations at Janio, focusing on operations and key cross-functional projects. Prior to joining Janio, Cliff was the COO at blu, a Singapore-based start-up providing end to end logistics solutions for retailers. Before venturing into the start-up space, Cliff was at JP Morgan specialising in capital advisory for clients in SEA.
Thiery started his career as an auditor before moving to the commercial environment. He has over 15 years of finance experience working in start-ups both in the UK and in Singapore. As well as being a Chartered Accountant, he is a graduate from the University of Warwick and Victoria University in business, computer science, operational research, SAP and ERP systems.
George was brought on to manage the network partnerships at Janio. This comprises of furthering our already strong Air offering while building out our new Sea and Land capabilities across Janio’s ASEAN and wider global network. Prior to Janio George was CBO of Kargo, the first technology-enabled full-service trucking fleet in Myanmar. As CBO George was in charge of driver and customer acquisition, successfully building a fleet of 2,800 fully trackable trucks and winning long term contracts with MNC’s which included Coca Cola, Addidas, Mitsubishi, Nestle and K+N. Before this, George co-founded the first EU focused rice exporter in Myanmar trading at the peak of 2,500 tons per month, and in an earlier life worked as a financial technology consultant in London.
Alex is currently Janio’s Head of Commercial for the Greater China market. Prior to joining Janio, he served as the Senior Account Manager at TNT, and the Senior Business Development Manager at S.F. Express Co. Ltd where he was in charge of the management and development of the portfolios of global, regional and national key customers.
